Natural gas looking ready for takeoff.
If you know a more oversold commodity, I would love to know what?
Here's the results of Biden's ban on the export of American natural gas:

@LizadeBonjo@tekgeekartfreak@Engineer_Hasn@belle_liuu The preservation (or lack of it) of gospels is a different matter, entirely.
I said apostles knew & interpreted it better than later generations.
Similarly the sahabahs interpretation is superior to later generations. Nothing to do with what you're talking about.
@LizadeBonjo@tekgeekartfreak@Engineer_Hasn@belle_liuu Thats just nonsense because even different churches consider each other heretics.
While the apostles had one religion/group and learned directly from Isa (walahi salam).
@LizadeBonjo@tekgeekartfreak@Engineer_Hasn@belle_liuu The status of Paul has nothing to do with what I said. That's totally off topic.
I was explaining to him that the sayings of sahabah have authority in Islam just as the sayings of apostles have authority in christianity.
@tekgeekartfreak@Engineer_Hasn@LizadeBonjo@belle_liuu No. Im saying the companions who were designated authorities by Allah & His messenger (walahi salam) have correct understanding of Qur'an & Sunnah.
Similarly, the apostles who were with Isa (walahi salam) knew & applied the Gospels in correct way - unlike later generations.
@tekgeekartfreak@Engineer_Hasn@LizadeBonjo@belle_liuu The authority of major sahabah is established by both Qur'an & Sunnah.
The sahabah are to Islam like what the apostles are to Christianity.
We take their words as the authoritative ruling/explination of Qur'an & Sunnah. Ibn Abass (ra) specifucally is a master in tafsir.
@LizadeBonjo@tekgeekartfreak@Engineer_Hasn@belle_liuu [4:59] Says follow the Prophet (walahi salam) & Muslim authorities (ie. Sahabah, Ibn Abass)- & to refer disagreement back to the Sunnah.
I also included Ibn Abass tafsir on: "then ask those who read the Book before you" [10:94]
And: "Ask the people of the Scripture" [16:43]
@LizadeBonjo@tekgeekartfreak@Engineer_Hasn@belle_liuu 1. I already showed the ayah where the Qur'an refers to the Muslims in authority & Prophetic judgement for any disagreement.
2. I already showed tafsir for Ibn Abass explaining what "ask the people of the Scipture" means.
Assuming your own conclusion = circular reasoning.
@LizadeBonjo@Engineer_Hasn@tekgeekartfreak@belle_liuu Thats a different ayah -16:43- it was revealed for polytheist Arabs who denied prophets can be human.
Its saying to the polytheists to ask people of the previous scripture about Prophets being human.
Muslims, jews & christians all agree they can. See tafsir of Ibn Abass (ra):
@tekgeekartfreak@Engineer_Hasn@LizadeBonjo@belle_liuu Yes the Prophet (walahi salam) asked Allah to give him understanding of the Qur'an.
The Sahabah (Prophet's companions) & later scholars have ijmah (consensus) on his status as a scholar & mufassir.
The rafida-shi'ah follow a different religion, but even they respect his status.
@LizadeBonjo@tekgeekartfreak@Engineer_Hasn@belle_liuu Then you are making up your own tawil & arguing against a religion I don't follow.
I am not a qur'anist - I am Athari / Ahlul Sunnah wal Jam'ah.
We follow Allah, the Messenger & the sahabah as we are commanded to do in the Qur'an.
@tekgeekartfreak@Engineer_Hasn@LizadeBonjo@belle_liuu In the example we are talking about in Ibn Abass (ra);
The Prophet himself affirmed his knowledge & all the sahabah have consensus on his authority.
Indeed, the scholars of sahabah are the inheritors of Prophets. Ibn Abass has similar standing in Islam as Paul in christianity.
@tekgeekartfreak@LizadeBonjo@Engineer_Hasn@belle_liuu The Qur'an is clear because its explained by the Prophet (walahi salam) & people he elected as authorities, like Ibn Abass (ra).
Orthodox Muslims, christians & jews don't just interpret revelation without explination from Prophets & other authorities.
Only modernists do that.
@LizadeBonjo@tekgeekartfreak@Engineer_Hasn@belle_liuu The Qur'an is clear & explained by the Prophet walahi salam & sahabah (his companions).
This quote is from Ibn Abass ra who is the prophets cousin & widely regarded as the greatest mufassir of the Qur'an..
We follow them, not contemporary idolators who don't even know Arabic.
@tekgeekartfreak@Engineer_Hasn@belle_liuu "(then ask those who read the Book before you)" [10:94]
It means ask "those of the People of the Book who met Muhammad, may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him, and believed in him." (See tafsir)
It doesn't mean to ask the disbelievers of the people of the book.
@Obi_Juniorx@FullmetalTheist@belle_liuu 3/ Moreover, even most Jews & Christians don't believe in word-for-word preservation of their books..
yet they still affirm it as having the truth generally.
So its insane to hold Muslims to that standard, when even people of the book dont believe that.
@Obi_Juniorx@FullmetalTheist@belle_liuu 2/ Now you might say "but, the Qur'an says to ask those given the scripture before you".
I say: Indeed & if you refer to what the salaf said about this verse,
it means to ask the truthful of those Jews & Christians who accepted Islam. Like Abdullah ibn Salam. See narrations:
@belle_liuu 25/ This athar of Ibn Jurayj is strikingly close to the Passover narrative (see image).
So this isn't merely an Islamic source mentioning the tenth plague... It contains essentially the recognizable Passover sequence.
And Allah knows best.
@belle_liuu 24/ “So he did. Then when morning came, Pharaoh said:
"This is the deed of Moses & his people; they have killed our firstborn from among ourselves and our property."
Al-Tabari records it while explaining the departure of Moses & the Israelites in Sūrat al-Shuʿarāʾ (26:52ff)
