@secretriots Ugh, yes. I was once on the phone with a plumber because the water heater was sprayinng water into my basement apartment, and he asked me to put my husband on the phone so that he could explain to someone who would understand 🙃🙃
@moonyriott I really like having a little daily calendar! This year mine is photos from National Parks, but several artists whose cartoons I enjoy have them. Plus, since it’s February, they’re probably discounted.
Hey DC Twitter. My indoor kitty clawed through a window screen & is outside for the 1st time. Chipped but no collar. Last seen in the alley behind the 3100 block of 12th St. NE. He's brave but young, so he might run or might come say hi. Name's Tenebris. Please keep an eye out!
@paytmitch I’m only surprised in the sense that people my age living a different life trajectory surprise me, but you’re lovely (and straight) so having a husband makes sense hhaha
Hey @PoPville@BarredinDC can you help me find Brittany? She left her wallet at Truxton Inn and I’m hoping to get her attention so she can come back and pick it up. It’s with me (the bartender) and we’re open until 2am.
I tried to DM her on Insta, but not sure she got it
@emtheworst So confused. Especially if they’re coming to visit me??? I don’t even have a car and I’ll take the train to meet my friends at the airport so I can help them navigate public transit and give them extra metro cards I keep for guests
The @wmata website tracker is consistently inaccurate for the G8 bus. It listed no service for the westbound bus when in actuality there was a bus 2 minutes away. Especially frustrating with how cold, rainy, and miserable it is outside.
@ByERussell @OldTimeDC It’s got the NGA East Gallery building which opened in 1978 but not the Vietnam Memorial which was 1982, so somewhere in-between the two.
@Maddie_Evette @minimarker3@moonyriott I love Vezitos’ animatics!
Also that thread of updates culminating in the final update is amazing and I’m grateful to Devon for sharing with us his and Draco’s plight
@ChelseaCirruzzo Through DCPL it was about 1/3 the wait for the audiobook rather than the ebook if you want to try that! That’s how I was able to read it already. It’s narrated by the author too.
@MerriamWebster I grew up in MI and say supper, though that was more influenced by my extended family in rural IL who refer to the 2nd daily meal as dinner and the 3rd as supper. I still call meal 2 lunch but call meal 3 supper for clarity. Never given any grief for it till I moved to Chicago.
