Fires have reportedly started breaking out within the rubble of collapsed buildings in La Guaira after gas lines were damaged during tonight's twin earthquakes near Caracas.

What began as a major earthquake emergency is now turning into a secondary disaster, with rescue efforts complicated by fires erupting amid the debris.
