3 Indian stocks got a real, company-specific catalyst today on a red market day (Nifty -0.28%).

Here's what happened, and what the price action says about momentum 🧵

1/ Adani Enterprises (+5.0%, ₹2,972.90)

SEBI settled the minimum public shareholding case against 4 Adani firms for ₹1.48 cr and found no proof Vinod Adani controlled the FPIs.

Opened red, closed +5%: a news-driven reversal.
Watch: holding above ~₹2,810.

2/ Transport Corporation of India (NSE: TCI)

Board approved a ₹150 cr buyback at ₹960/share via the tender route. That's ~11% above today's ₹866.75 close. Record date: Oct 9.

Watch: tomorrow's open. If it slips back under ₹866, the market isn't paying for the buyback.

3/ AXISCADES (upper circuit, +10% to ₹2,067)

The promoter sold ~10.9% in a ~₹830 cr block at ₹1,824, and the stock still locked at upper circuit. Someone absorbed that supply.

Watch: 52-wk high ₹2,211 is overhead. ₹1,824 (block price) is the line to hold.

Bonus lesson from NCC today:

₹1,077 cr order → stock +5.4% at open → closed -1.7%.

Why? Order book is ~₹81,000 cr. This order is ~1.3% of it.

Size the catalyst against the company, not the headline. Catalyst + volume + structure > headlines.
