Given the condition Bengal finds itself in today, whatever @swapan55 does is likely to be viewed as progress.

When you're starting with nearly ₹8 lakh crore in debt (Used primarily to fund freebies rather than development and Infra), an exodus of thousands of companies and policy priorities that seem detached from economic reality, the bar isn't exactly set very high.

At this point, the challenge isn't taking Bengal from good to great. It's taking it from worse to better.

And frankly, it would take extraordinary effort to make things worse than they already are.
