I can't get over that England completed just two passes in a 20 minute period. Beyond bad. These are elite level footballers. I would expect City's 18s to complete more than that, even if getting battered. As shite as Tuchel's tactics were, that level of technical failure for a side full of top level players is practically unheard of. It's a catastrophic failure for the side too, not just the manager.

Really sad to hear about the end of Football Focus.

I loved that show growing up. I used to watch it every week with my dad and I remember how proud he was when I got the job. It was such a privilege to sit in the chair for 12 years, work with an amazing team on and off air and form so many lasting friendships.

Saturdays were always special.

The football landscape is constantly changing and it’s disappointing that there isn’t space for a show that has meant so much to so many people for so many years.

It shouldn't hit more when a footballer or athlete dies, but it does for some reason. They just feel larger than life - healthy, successful, loved, adored. I guess subconsciously to many of us they feel almost superhuman. It's easy to imagine them to be not as susceptible to the harsh, unpredictable nature of life. The reminder of our own mortality hits particularly hard. Hugging my little ones extra tight today.
