its true that lib shias saal ke 11 maheenay secular hotay hein aur aik maheenay inhein mazhab yaad aajata hai
but let’s not forget sunnis act like taliban for 11 months and then want french laicite in muharram
If the argument is to restrict religious activities to indoors, then it has to be applied consistently not selectively. That would mean limits on loudspeaker azan, Eid and Friday prayers in streets and parks, Rabi ul Awwal processions and decorations, and Sufi Urs gatherings too.
Blocking roads on muharram shd be banned and those involved shd be booked and jailed.
Do you religious procession in grounds instead of disturbing others.
Thank you for your attention to this matter
This ended up forcing the state to impose extraordinary security measures. Why demand restrictions on those mourning peacefully instead of demanding stronger action against the extremists? The right to peacefully walk and assemble is a democratic right given by constitution.
Muharram processions were never meant to "occupy" roads. They were ordinary people mourning peacefully in public spaces while life around them continued, as it does in many other countries even today. The problem began when sunni sectarian extremists attacked these gatherings.
Blocking roads on muharram shd be banned and those involved shd be booked and jailed.
Do you religious procession in grounds instead of disturbing others.

Hmmm interesting, this line of reasoning nullifies ijtihad, fiqh, qiyas, the whole apparatus right along with it. Why do you all think you can dismantle a religion that survived many centuries and produced the most rigorous scholarship of any sect with lukewarm arguments a third-grader could’ve written?
Keir Starmer could have ended child poverty, homelessness and the grotesque levels of inequality in this country.
Instead, he abandoned those in need, destroyed our civil liberties and facilitated genocide in Gaza.
That is how this Prime Minister will be remembered - and that is the legacy of moral and political bankruptcy he leaves behind.
The crises in our society are not going away. Neither are we - and we will keep fighting for a more equal, peaceful and dignified society for all.
What a fucking retard!
Being acid thrown on your face isn't an occupational hazard. A lineman getting electric shock is indeed an occupational hazard, but him getting shot in the face because he installed a meter isn't, but you are too retarded to understand that.
All occupations have occupational hazards. Nobody forced you to become a doctor, an army officer, a babu, or anything else. You yourself subscribed to it and made an informed decision because of the incentives. Daily, WAPDA linemen die because of electric shocks, yet we never see an outcry over them. Attaining a piece of paper doesn’t make you a special human being. Get out of your bubble and drop the entitlement.
The acid attack on a woman doctor in Quetta is a grim reminder of how deep our social decay runs. Poor upbringing, a broken education system, and a corrupt system that rarely delivers accountability have created an environment where such horrors continue to happen.
This is Dr. Mahnoor’s original picture. These cruel people did not feel even a moment of humanity or remorse. She was someone’s daughter, someone’s sister, and surely a source of pride for her family. A beautiful face and an innocent life have been scarred forever because of this brutality. May such people face the consequences of the destruction they bring upon others.
I pray that God protects our loved ones and all female healthcare workers working in such harsh environments. May He keep them safe and open better opportunities for them so they can leave unsafe and toxic workplaces and move somewhere safer where they can work with dignity.
I haven't been able to calm down since seeing that video from Quetta. My wife is a doctor and has served in public hospitals. She must have encountered people like the attacker during her work. It easily could have been her, or any woman doctor working in such environments.
Every woman deserves to feel safe at work. When doctors and healthcare workers have to fear violence while doing their jobs, it reflects a deeper failure to protect those who serve society. Pakistan is a failed nation and is not a country where women can work safely.
