@Snakeeater36 Brand new mags are often hard to seat on a closed bolt when fully loaded.
Solution: actually use your mags and the problem quickly goes away.
@GTaylor23500135@Jack_ExCinere@OcrazioCornPop Ah, ok, so the low res map has it's borders a bit further west than I though...720k vs 2.5 million is still vastly different sized districts
I guess you missed this part though.
Apparently grok considers over 2 million and 720k to be close enough 🤣
@GTaylor23500135@Jack_ExCinere@OcrazioCornPop I don't need to do any frantic googling because I live here, which is why I used Oregon as the example, it stood out very clearly for someone who actually lives here and knows the area
@GTaylor23500135@Jack_ExCinere@OcrazioCornPop That "fair" map of Oregon Grok supposedly made has all of eastern Oregon, with 190k people as one district, while the Portland metro area is 2.5 million people. That is *not* in any way a remotely fair map. It gives vastly more representation to a much smaller number of people
@GTaylor23500135@Jack_ExCinere@OcrazioCornPop No, because districts have to have more or less the same number of people.
You don't get to draw a district in a city with a population of a few million and then have a district next to it of 200k
The point of the analysis to to prevent partisan gerrymandering
@Jack_ExCinere@OcrazioCornPop The Freedom to Vote Act in 2021 and Redistricting Reform Act in 2024 were both attempts to ban partisan gerrymandering...no Republicans support.
But if those aren't to your liking either, it turns out Republicans have control of the House, Senate, and White House...they can act
@mtntallpaul Yes, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that a median mortgage takes about 85 hours of median wage work.
In 1975 it took just 41 hours of median wage labor to afford a median mortgage.
@mtntallpaul@Andiders Because of over 20 years experience in the workforce with boomers in positions of leadership without degrees, even though positions below them now require degrees
@HushNowWench @MattLaneWrites Where are these plenty of apartments?
My shitty old 900sq/ft apartment I was in before buying my house is now going for 1800/month
Where are you gonna find an apartment for 4 people for 1k?
@Socrates_1776@mortgagereels@Rosebuds2529 1.25% rent increase is *over*stated?
There's only been 2 years this century where the average rent increase was under 2%

@KMassell647@Bryantsilver1@AConcernedPare2 Oh you mean significantly less than what it currently costs?
It's almost as if that's the point you've been working hard to miss
