Under a new draft memorandum, banks, digital lenders, e-wallets, and virtual asset service providers would need to connect their identity verification systems to the government's National ID database through NIDAS.

The goal is to make the National ID the country's primary, official proof of identity for opening accounts and completing identity checks, while strengthening anti-fraud and anti-money laundering safeguards.

Rollout is phased. Digital banks, e-money issuers, and crypto platforms (VASPs) get 3 months to apply once the memorandum takes effect, other institutions get 6 months.

Important: this won't replace other valid IDs entirely, alternative verification stays available when a National ID isn't presented or NIDAS is unavailable.

📌 Worth watching for us, ka-Miranda: stronger identity verification means safer accounts and harder-to-fake KYC, which is a good thing for reducing scams. Just make sure your National ID details are accurate and up to date.

🌧️💡 Trader Thoughts

While checking the house, the roof, and our surroundings, I found myself thinking about what other traders might be feeling about their progress right now.

“Crypto is boring now.”

Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?

We heard the same thing during the crypto winters of 2019 and 2022, when Bitcoin was trading below $20,000.

Funny how markets work.

A trader took profit. You didn’t.

Someone caught the trend. You missed it.

Someone posted a winning trade while you’re still trying to understand what went wrong with yours.

Trading is hard. Really hard. It isn’t for the weak.

But remember this:

The market doesn’t understand me, you, or anyone else.

And it won’t stop a candle for anyone.

There will be days when you feel like you’re finally getting it, and days when the market completely disagrees with your technicals.

That’s okay.

You don’t need to be perfect to become better.

Executing a trade today doesn’t need to impress the crowd. What matters is whether your decisions show improvement from the trader you were yesterday.

Did you follow your setup?

Did you respect your stop?

Did you manage your risk?

Did you learn something?

That’s progress.

Other traders may be ahead of you. Sometimes you’ll feel like you’re being left behind.

But often, that feeling comes because you’re measuring yourself against someone else’s journey instead of your own progress.

Their P&L isn’t your scoreboard.

Their timeline isn’t your deadline.

Their winning trade isn’t your missed destiny.

So tonight, get some good sleep.

Markets will open again. Opportunities will come again.

But the knowledge, discipline, and experience you’re building today can stay with you for years.

Keep learning.

Keep improving.

And one day, you’ll realize that the seasons when trading felt the most boring, frustrating, and difficult were the seasons that quietly built the trader you eventually became.
