Most Ghanaians who get charged illegally at a facility never find out it was illegal. They simply don't know what their card covers.
That ends with knowing. So we built the NHIS Education Hub, one simple place to learn exactly what the scheme covers, what you're entitled to, and how to claim it. Plain language, no jargon.
An informed member is a protected member. When you know your entitlements, no one can charge you for what is already yours.
Watch, then go and learn one thing today, and share it with someone who needs it. 🇬🇭
Updating your contact information is just as important as keeping your NHIS membership active.
Whenever you change your phone number, be sure to update it in the NHIS database. This ensures you receive important notifications and continue to enjoy seamless access to NHIS services.

NHIS – Your Access to Healthcare.
Yesterday I shared the news on Facebook Live: the funds for Free Primary Health Care have started flowing.
GH¢35.1 million released to the 107 districts now running the programme, anchoring prevention and early detection right at the community level, a real step on Ghana's journey to Universal Health Coverage.
But this is not an achievement to boast about. It belongs to the hardworking people of this nation, the nurses and community health workers at our CHPS compounds, the staff of the NHIA and allied bodies, the @KMAkandoh, and @JDMahama, whose vision made it possible.
My role is to serve. To all of them, thank you.
And to the people of these 107 districts: this is for you. Have your vitals checked. Stay well. 🇬🇭
We’re stepping out of the office and getting our hands dirty!
This Friday, 31st July, NHIS staff will come together for our Clean Up and Wellness Exercise.
A clean environment, a little exercise and some teamwork, nothing better than starting the weekend on a healthy note. 🙌🏾
Clean surroundings. Active staff. Healthier NHIS.
A few weeks ago, on an X Space with @gyaigyimii and @GeorgeAnagli, we talked about what NHIA is doing for young people.
I spoke about our digital interventions. About NHIS Campus Connect. And about something happening quietly inside our own walls, a Youth Mentorship and Leadership Bootcamp for every staff member 35 and below.
Here's the truth: you cannot build a youth-focused institution while overlooking the young people already inside it.
Between May and June, we invested in them. Their growth is the NHIA's today and future. 🇬🇭
