I agree it'll be interesting which way they take it:
1. No immediate, close family.
2. Family, but they aren't prepared to take on a kid. (Maybe their older maybe they can't handle such an active, lively kid.)
3. There's a will..... Maybe Buck was named in it? That CAN be a possibility, they thought he's the reason we have theo so IF we can't be here anymore, he should be with Buck.
I think that was very intentional. The timing of it all. They just came back into each other's orbit .... They ask Buck about him as a younger kid. What was he like? Any specific diagnosis' ?

It allowed acknowledgement of both truths. Theo IS Connor and Kamerons son..they are his parents. But he is bucks kid thru and thru. He's got bucks blood running thru his veins. He's a mini- buck.
Yes as a society we have legalities that govern us, and social terminology we govern ourselves by.
However Biology. Genetics. Nature.
They do not adhere to those legalities.
Kameron is his mother, Connor is his father.
Buck is the bio dad. Yes he's a sperm donor. That's the legality part. He helped them, he donated Knowing that he was giving a part of himself and saying this child will be yours, but nature and fate sometimes have other plans. And it's so sad and heartbreaking, id never wish any harm to befall them. It's devastating they wanted theo so bad. And they had such a long road to have him, having to ask a college buddie to help them achieve that dream. And they only got 4 short yrs with him?
Devastating. But it sounds like they wouldn't of cut Buck out, he just stepped away bc he knew itd be too much to handle being around all the time, knowing and feeling that natural, instinctual pull a parent (bio) would feel. Even tho he knows legally he's just donor. I can't govern your heart and your natural biological instincts.

It's a special case too bc most of the time the donation is anonymous. They don't even ever meet nor KNOW the donor. So it's no big deal.
Knowing who it is, and even more actually knowing them personally as an old friend. That makes it a more complex situation. That's why Buck removed himself from it after. He held theo after he delivered him. And he KNEW he couldn't be in his life on the outskirts. Thats not who Buck is.
He would've continued to feel that pull toward him. And then it would've made it awkward or make his parents feel some way eventually, then it would be even harder if they asked him to step away.
So them bringing them back into each other's orbit before tragedy struck? Serindipity, much? Before that he had never met Buck, so bringing him into his life, showing him he's someone his parents know. Trust. It was important.
Theo and bucks paths crossed by chance for a reason ( yes obv. It's a TV show, & they write these sl.) but stuff like this can happen. Something comes into your life before something occurs, or u meet someone that will be detrimental to helping you in something that happens afterwards.

Was okay with eddie for a split second, UNTIL bobby said "DIAZ" & once eddie explains hes half mexican, but can help him with the other half that is his MOMS heritage. Eddie, who is bucks taste tester always.
Its just automatic for buck to hold out his hand toward eddie. Eddie is proud to be who buck 1st lets taste his food. Eddie gets veryy grumpy if someone else tries to.
The others notice and ask "how come its always EDDIE that gets to taste test!?"

And buck simply replies " bc hes eddie"
Like it shows just how special eddie is to him.
