-Fourteen Minnesota State Patrol troopers and six Department of Natural Resources enforcement officers are assisting the City of Minneapolis with a particular focus on schools and places of worship

-The Minneapolis Police Department is coordinating with the St. Paul Police Department, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and other local law enforcement agencies across the metro area to expand patrols around all schools within Minneapolis over the next couple of weeks.

Updates following yesterday's shooting at the Church of the Annunciation:

-One additional child was identified as injured from this shooting.

-Four search warrants were executed at the church and three other locations around the metro. Additional firearms were recovered.

There is an active police situation at Annunciation Church, 509 W. 54th St. There is no active threat to the community at this time. The shooter is contained. Stay away from the area to allow emergency personnel to help victims – W. 54th Street between Lyndale and Nicollet Ave.

MPD responded to a request to assist with crowd control and to help ensure public safety. Officers supported federal law enforcement in safely departing the area. MPD has since cleared the scene.

A federal criminal search warrant for drugs and money laundering was executed today in the area of Lake St & Bloomington Ave. Multiple federal agencies were involved. There were no arrests at the scene by federal law enforcement executing the search warrant.
