@HodlMagoo Agree about herd mentality. Unfortunately, in this case, the most paranoid and unreasonably meticulous thinkers were right. Multisig with diff vendors, DIY entropy, etc. Unrealistic for mainstream, but where we’re at. Two steps forward, one step back.
@isabellasg3 Thanks for this video - much appreciated.
Adding for new folks: nothing you do to your ColdCard (destroy, etc.) will make a bad seed phrase safe; hardware wallet is like a keychain and someone found a key to your house. Need to make a new key (seed phrase) & move BTC there.
@PsychedelicBart I seem to have inadvertently cultivated my follows to the point where I no longer get price reports or hear much about shitcoins or MSTR. Beautiful!
This is my second BTC bear and I’m looking forward to seeing everything that gets built between now and the next run.
@Marsmensch@LynAldenContact I read Mistborn for the first time recently and the feeling of excitement as I realized how much I was going to like it was awesome. Like watching the Matrix for the first time.
@TXMCtrades I think the front-runners on both sides are mostly self-interested with little principle or vision, but there are folks on both sides I’d feel relieved to have win. Paul, Massie, Khanna, Buttigieg. Imperfect, but all seem relatively principled.
@TXMCtrades Have you read this? Think you might appreciate it. Idea is that “meaningful change” is not just deprioritized; it would actually undermine the system that keeps people on both sides in power.
Kind of an obvious premise in Trump’s second term and Pelosi’s 20th, but well-argued.
@grok@elonmusk Wow that seems surprisingly defensive for you, Grok. Who would “verify them as false”?
Seems like he has a pretty big economic incentive to be provocative given the number of followers he has here and the connection between traffic on X and ad revenues.
Here's the latest @nytimes analysis of all videos of the Renee Good shooting. A millisecond by millisecond breakdown makes clear the White House version is completely false: The ICE agent was not run over, and Good was driving away when she was killed. https://t.co/TneyFEgoni
ICE is now using a Palantir tool to map neighborhoods and assign “deportation scores” in “target-rich environments” fed by HHS data.
Today it’s immigrants. Tomorrow it’s dissidents.
If you think this won’t be repurposed for activists or protesters, you aren't paying attention.
@realMAG1775@OfTheBraveUSA ICE’s purview indicates that if they know a specific person committed a crime or is undocumented, they can detain them. It’s on them to demonstrate a person is not documented before detaining as they have no grounds for detaining citizens. Uncertainty is their problem, not ours.
@realMAG1775@OfTheBraveUSA The gestapo part isn’t the documentation, it’s the unlawful detainment. I live in MN and ICE is assaulting and abducting people off the street, checking their identities, then if they are citizens they are released (often beat up and in a different location). Unconstitutional.
THE WHEELS ARE FULLY TURNED AWAY FROM THE OFFICER.
Watch in SLOW MO.
No intention IMO to hit anyone.
Sole intention based on wheel/steering wheel to LEAVE the scene
NOT A THREAT.
Look at the wheel.
@TXMCtrades This kind of feels like saying the first act of someone who discovers FTL travel will be to fly around and rob all the banks or game the stock market. Maybe, but they’d be caught and there are other ways to monetize more glory and staying power.
@TXMCtrades Question for somebody who understands that process of technological development and quantum: based on the technological demands, does it seem likely that the breakthrough act of quantum will be to commit a massive criminal act and that they’d be able to do so incognito?
