@SkolNut @EarlTreloar A small part of this feeling is McCarthy s development, but the main reason I feel this way is watching how the Seahawks handled Darnold when he started melting down. Where I once just blamed Sam for his performance in lions/rams games I look at it as maybe KOCs shortcomings

@JakeAndersonPGA I agree it’s bad to give up but if they are debating trying to draft a guy in 27, you take all the draft capital you can get. I believe Addison will be dealt after the season too for that purpose.

@SkolNut @EarlTreloar The blame on KOC is more about identifying when your qb is struggling and maybe doing some stuff to get him comfortable. When Darnold was melting down Seattle just ran the ball till he calmed a bit.

I do find it interesting that anytime KOC is questioned on his choices it always seems to be things outside his control that cause the decision.

The idea is, while Kyler is much better than McCarthy now, he’s not a franchise qb. He’ll play well enough for an extension but that is actually not a step forward.

Jj is at least a step towards a better pick and trying again in 27
