Free Eye Camp @MulagoReferral reaches Day 2 with 60 Eye Surgeries successfully performed, including 10 cataract surgeries.
The camp is providing advanced, specialised eye care to children & adults, while helping clear the backlog of patients who have been waiting for essential surgical services.
The partnership between @MulagoReferral & the Association of Surgeons of Uganda (ASOU) has strengthened surgical capacity, bringing together a multidisciplinary surgical team and support staff to deliver quality care.
By providing the procedures free of charge, the camp is also easing the financial burden on patients, some of whom could have spent up to UGX 5 million on private treatment.
For beneficiaries, this is more than surgery it is a chance to restore vision and improve their quality of life.
