Did you see that the Greek alphabet will no longer be used for hurricane names, along with 4 names being retired? Oh- and we have a new supplemental list of names!

Greek alphabet will not be used for future #hurricane names because it created a distraction from storm warnings and caused confusion in 2020.
IF regular list of names is exhausted, a new supplementary list will be used

Severe thunderstorms, hail, and tornadoes are expected across the Southeastern U.S. today. A rare Level 5 out of 5 high risk of severe weather has been issued by the SPC- the first high risk alert in March since 2012.
