🎤: Why did you choose #skynani?
🐰: Because when I travel, I like doing a lot of activities. I mean, I like finding activities to do, going to amusement parks, riding the rides. 🎡🎢
I think Sky would fit those activities better. 😊
As for P'Tay and P'New, they’re more grown-up than us (he didn’t use the word “older” 🥹) so they'd prefer a more chill vibe. 😄

🧑🏻🦱: I think the key point that allows you to do everything so well... is pulling in capable people, as we talked about. Did you recruit them yourself , or what was your role in attracting talented people?
🐰: I recruited almost everyone myself in the beginning. 😊
🧑🏻🦱: Oh, really?
🐰: In the beginning, yes.
🧑🏻🦱: Interviewed them yourself?
🐰: Interviewed them myself. In the beginning, to be honest, we didn't even have an HR department back then. So it was just me. I made the calls myself and said, "Hello, I'm the HR from this company." 😄😂
🧑🏻🦱: And what if they realized Win Metawin was calling them? If Win Metawin was calling, wouldn't they scream out loud?
🐰: Yes! So I had to disguise myself. Otherwise, when they arrived for the interview, as soon as they saw it was me, they would lose their cool and couldn't be interviewed. So what I did was wear a hat and a mask during the interview. 😅
🧑🏻🦱: Come on, anyone would know! Just looking at you, they'd know immediately!
🐰: No, some people really didn't know! 😆
🧑🏻🦱: Really?
🐰: Yes, some people honestly didn't know. So I thought, ok, this way we could focus purely on whether they could perform the job.
🧑🏻🦱: Did you have any specific "must-ask" questions that clicked for you? Anything like that?
🐰: Well, it depended on the position. But a question I always asked was: "Who is your favorite artist?" 😆😆
🧑🏻🦱: And if they didn't answer Win Metawin?
🐰: If they didn't answer Win Metawin, they wouldn't get hired!
🧑🏻🦱: Well, that's fair, that's fair. They'd have to work together, after all!
🐰: Yeah, we have to work together. 😂
🧑🏻🦱: That's a reward even greater than money, you know—getting to work closely with you 😊
🐰: Actually, when I asked that, they could answer anyone. But I wanted to know their nature—how well they knew this industry. Because what I do, as for myself, I wear two hats. So they needed to understand the side where I wear the executive hat, as well as my limitations—what I can or cannot do—which are different from other executives because my face is constantly in the media. So they had to understand that part of me as well. Including how they could utilize or maximize the benefits of me being a celebrity. They had to understand that part too. 😊
🧑🏻🦱: That's very profound. 😄

🧑🏻🦱: Why do you want to expand overseas? Is it your dream?
🐰: It is one of my dreams. If you ask what my goal in the entertainment industry is, or what my goal in business really is, it's the exact same format. I want to elevate Thailand. I want to elevate Thai brands and elevate Thai artists so they can compete on an international level and compete in the global market. I see that our potential is huge to reach that point. It's one of the goals I want to achieve.
🧑🏻🦱: That's great. Why do you think today is an opportunity for Thai people? Where do you think the opportunity lies? Why do newer-generation entrepreneurs like you, or many others, see... I'm not sure if it has become easier—probably not, it's still hard—but why does it look more interesting or present more opportunities?
🐰: Honestly, one thing I want to say is that the entertainment industry has helped a lot in making people know Thailand better. Recently, everywhere we go, people are starting to know Thailand, and everyone seems to appreciate Thailand coming through.
🧑🏻🦱: Appreciate, too—that's key. Thailand equals appreciation. It's not seen as "exotic" or strange anymore.
🐰: Yes, exactly. They feel "wow" that Thai artists are there. This has caused people in a broader circle—from fashion to various industries—to turn their eyes toward Thailand more.
With these soft powers embedded, it automatically boosts Thailand's stand-out quality. So I think we benefit quite a lot from this, both in terms of business itself. This timing seems like the right time to go, because the base of the country's reputation is already established.
🧑🏻🦱: Thank you so much. I'd love to clip that exact part to show all the country executives, because I think many times we don't see this advantage. We don't see how Thai entertainment is actually going global on a real level.
Lastly, if there are younger people or the new generation who want to start a business like this—a brand—what is the main piece of advice you'd want to give them?
🐰: I think the most important thing is... you have to start doing it first! You must begin doing it. If you keep thinking that you want to do this or that without ever taking action, you'll never start, never learn, and never know which direction is right for you. I can't give a complete answer on what's right for you or what you're good at. Ultimately, it starts with ourselves trying, learning through trial and error, and learning from it.
🧑🏻🦱: Right now, you are working full-time in both areas. Are you tired? Asking directly.
🐰: Oh, very! It's exhausting, but I feel like I enjoy it. I'm happy that we have our team, our clients, and work to do. And on the entertainment side, I still enjoy being an actor—everyone! When people watch this show, they might think Win has left the entertainment industry! 😆 No, I haven't. I'm still acting and enjoying that part, and I'm happy with my peers, my colleagues and the environment in the industry. 🥰

[Trans/summarized] Part 2️⃣
#TheSecretSauce
🧑🏻🦱: I secretly felt back then when I saw Win selling macarons, I was like, "Wow, do Thai people really eat this many macarons?" Like how to make macarons part of daily life and when compared to competitors, how will it be sustainable?
🐰: I defined it as "Fatcaron." Therefore, what I got in return was customers who don't eat macarons at all but they eat #Souri. So, I think this clearly shows that in the market where Souri is positioned, it's not just about capturing customers who only eat macarons but it's customers who like a lifestyle dessert, there's no need for a ritual, no need for an appointment, no need for a fixed intention like "on the 3rd, I'll go eat at this place." I view it as more of an everyday, easily accessible thing like that.
🟠: When coming to the office, does it feel different from when you go to a filming set?
🐰: It feels very stressful because every day we have meetings, discussions, and quite a lot of decisions to make. There's a pile of documents waiting for me to sign and approve first.
🟠: So every day you come, there's a pile waiting for you like this?
🐰: Yes.
🟠: Normally, when you're in the room, do you also work on ideas?
🐰: Thinking of work, checking work—most of it happens in this room. These photos of the products are here so I can remember the flavors too. 😅
🧑🏻🦱: One thing that stands out, which I think everyone wants to learn from this brand, is marketing. How do you do marketing? How do you boost sales? How has it changed today?
🐰: I have to admit that my advantage is that I work in the entertainment industry, so when communicating, it might reach people louder.
I view that as an advantage we use sometimes, but not as the main driver. The brand itself must have its own identity, keep up with trends, keep up with what customers want at that moment, and present fresh, creative stories. We place great importance on storytelling that comes out with a "wow" factor.
🧑🏻🦱: Another thing I see a lot is collaborations. How important is it, how often do you do it, and with whom?
🐰: It actually happens almost every month. 🤯
🧑🏻🦱: Every month?
🐰: We collaborate every month! Customers actually contact us a lot. But we have to screen them to fit our slot of about once a month. Customers email us all the time wanting to collab. So we select brands that, when combined, create new combinations—partnerships people wouldn't expect, like "How would that turn out?"
🧑🏻🦱: I'm interested in whether collaboration is mainly for sales volume, or what is its main purpose in your opinion?
🐰: It's not just about sales volume. I think it's more about building awareness. I feel that once we create a "wow effect" and give people something to talk about, it reflects back as brand awareness for us. And ultimately, sales will naturally follow. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

🧑🏻🦱: In person, you are so handsome!
🐰: Oh, thank you! ☺️
🧑🏻🦱: Allow me to call you Nong Win 😁
🐰: I will only give a permission to him, everyone! 😅
🧑🏻🦱: Seeing you as an artist, actor, or celebrity and on the other side people might already know, you do business and branding too. However people might think you're just the face or just doing marketing. What are you doing overall?
🐰: Actually, in terms of my roles, it's divided into two main parts: the entertainment industry part and my business part. My businesses include #SOURIBKK, #COSIE and #VELENCEBKK a clothing brand 💚
🟠: Why did you choose to interview Win today?
🧑🏻🦱: I think he is an actor/artist who has a very strong entrepreneurial mindset. From what I've followed, it's not just a passing trend where he uses his fame alone, but he's someone who understands marketing, products, branding, and new consumers. I want to come learn how a "Creator Brand", someone who is a creator or influencer builds a brand and makes it successful.
🧑🏻🦱: When you started, I understand there was a period of fan support and many things. Many people in entertainment do business like this. Now, which point—to be honest—made it break through or maintain and keep the business going further and further?
🐰: The key turning point for me was the moment when... ok, in the first year or two, there was full power supporting me, which I am very grateful for and appreciate. But over time, that power might gradually decrease or they might not buy as regularly as before. That made me see the change. So I started feeling, "if it's like this, it means the brand is tied too much to me." I reached a point of thinking, "What should I do if there is no Win Metawin anymore, but customers still love our brand"
🧑🏻🦱: This is a point that many people might not be able to cross, and your brand... when marketers classify it, they often group it as a "Creator Brand" or "Celebrity Brand," meaning a famous person starting a brand.
🐰: So I think how can I make them love me and also love the brand. Before, they might have bought solely because they loved me. So that was an important turning point: how to make them also love the brand. We started creating the brand's identity, rebranding everything, changing the logo, and setting up the brand's persona to see how it works up until today. But overall, we didn't change the product concept.
So we solved the problem starting from the vibrant colors of the product first: what its character would be like, and how customers eating our treat would feel. I think this is important in starting branding.
Once we got that, #SOURI had to be an extrovert, definitely a female character, given the colorfulness and cuteness.😊
At first, the colorway of the packaging or shop might have been very feminine, so I added the idea of how to make men feel confident walking into SOURI too, not just a place where men don't dare enter. We tried to make Souri friendly, approachable, and accessible for men as well.
🐰: I think the clearer we make the branding, the more people remember it. Because new brands pop up all the time, and a brand doesn't naturally have life, but we are creating life for it by infusing branding, identity, storytelling, and emotion so people can relate. It makes customers remember it, and once they remember, they will return to us and think of us. 😊
