I love the idea the Kindergarten teacher had in Chapter 6 about changing “I can” statements to “Can I” questions. Just that slight change of language could help our younger students recognize the importance of self-questioning.

@RorabaughMatt I also learned a lot about relevance! I thought it was helpful that they mentioned it needs to be close to home. If we compare their learning to something really far away, the motivation piece won’t be there!

I never stopped to think about how attention and memory deepen knowledge. The book explaining how once students are able to decode fluently, they are then able to transfer that attention to comprehension made so much sense! #ImpactLearningKS
