J&K MBBS interns are still forced to survive on just ₹12k while interns in other states receive ₹30k+ for the same workload.
We urge @OfficeOfLGJandK@OmarAbdullah@sakinaitoo to end this injustice immediately on a priority basis
Very unfortunate !
After 11 months of delay the file for stipend enhancement of J&K Medical Interns already approved by the Health Minister has been returned by the Finance Department.
Asking Hon’ble @OmarAbdullah who’s running the show?
@sakinaitoo@Shalini_Journo@KNO_NEWS
Another year passing with slaughter of OM.
40% on paper which will reduce to less than 30% with 10% horizontal to (pwd,cdp,sp,jkpm), 4% to UT of Ladakh and draconian rule 17.

MBBS interns in J&K have been on a stagnant stipend of ₹12,300 since 2019. A hike to ₹26,350 was recommended in 2023, but the file still gathers dust in Finance Dept. Doctors seek dignity,not delays.
@sakinaitoo@SyedAbidShah@OmarAbdullah@DrDhruvchauhan@aimsa_fmsw @DrAkhilX
Medical interns in J&K are being paid a paltry stipend of 12300 every month. This despite the fact that a committee recommended it be increased to 26,350. Unfortunately even a year & a half later our medical interns are not at parity with their counterparts.

#NEET-PG Open Merit quota slashed to 29%
The aspirants argue that the lopsided quotas for various reserved categories undermine merit and brew concern of impacting healthcare delivery
https://t.co/4mO2SDqFms
NEET PG 2019 (J&K) = Open Merit 75%
NEET PG 2024 (J&K) = Open Merit 38.5%
The collapse of healthcare institutes of Jammu & Kashmir is imminent. #SaveOM
It is not even 40%. With Horizontal reservation along with other reservation rules like RULE 17 ,it eventually reduces to 25%.For instance in recent NEET counselling out of total 1007 MBBS seats 124 boys and 135 girls approx got selected in OM , counting it to 25% approx .
The new reservation policy goes beyond logic and merit. The general category which constitutes 70% of population cannot be reduced to 40% of seats in jobs & employment.
Issue needs to be addressed on fair population census, without discrimination to any group. #JKPDPManifesto
