At Delhi International Airport, I walked into the airport clinic to get a simple BP check for a fellow passenger. The doctor & assistant were asleep with the lights off — no issue, they may have been resting.
But when I requested a quick BP check, I was told it would cost ₹200.
@DelhiAirport Thank you for your kind consideration. i would not want the concerned physician or his assistant to be taken to task but my humble request is - that this matter should be dealt with a genuine circular rotation that such basic services should be provided for free and at ease
I introduced myself as a doctor, yet the doctor, while scrolling through reels, casually said, “We charge for every service.”
It wasn’t the ₹200. It was the lack of empathy, professionalism & basic courtesy.
Healthcare should never feel like a mere commercial transaction
When you don't know EXACTLY what's going on, it's best not to say the wrong thing. Let those with a deeper understanding in that matter say what needs to be said. The Prophetic teaching to those who believe in the day of reckoning is to "utter what's upright or remain silent".
