Happy Dolloween!

If this was my reaction before I had a dead mom, I can’t imagine how it would hit me now.

I hate how much I cried during The Final Girls (2015) and that I cry during each and every rewatch, as well. I hate feelings. I hate how much I love this movie.

My mom passed away unexpectedly about a week and a half ago and I’m still numb, gutted and devastated.

I suppose this is as good a reason as any to post on this app again.

In case you were wondering, Unfriended: Dark Web is, without a doubt, massively better than original Unfriended.

In addition, my ultimate hype song: Eminem’s “Without Me.”

If I don’t sing along to my hype song “So Yesterday” by HilDuff in the car on the way to an interview, I have no business even showing up. I’ve learned from my mistake.

One of these people got hit by another car a month after the first

[chair 👉🏻🪑 @miserycake]

I personally know 3 people who’ve been hit by a car or truck in the last month. Connecticut drivers, what the hell???

I choose to believe that the reason I can never find Grease 2 at Goodwill is because the hundreds of thousands of people who own it refuse to part with it and NOT because no one actually saw it worthy enough to own in the first place.

I meant to share this charming photo sooner — me, my grandma (whom I adored), and an unconventional-looking Santa who leads me to believe he was scouted at closing time in a dive bar on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve tradition of eating appetizers and watching About a Boy. This movie has been one of my favorite movies since it came out in 2002. I laugh, I cry, I cry more, I laugh again, then happy cry every time I watch it.

My brother would’ve turned 46 years old today. It’s been almost 20 years since he died, and I am still unpacking the impact his death had on me. He was an incredible part of my life and I wish he was here still.

Happy birthday, Chris. I love you and miss you.

Thinking of just saying fuck it and going back to the childhood haircut my mom consistently gave me.

Last month it was Eminem, this month it’s Degrassi (The Next Generation).

I wonder what pop culture gem I’ll find obsessive comfort in next month.

I’ve been starting my weekly therapy sessions with a “previously on…” recap and it’s a fun way to waste time and distract from the things I need to mentally unpack.

Imagine how much more destruction and agonizing terror Zack Morris could’ve caused with social media and AI.

So many Daves that my friend and I have had to add descriptors.

The Daves I Know: Conspiracy Dave, Biker Dave, Short Angry Dave, Tall Angry Dave, Creepy Dave, Other Dave

I had to part ways with this hairdresser practice mannequin head or whatever it’s called because I couldn’t rationalize spending $15 on it at goodwill.

I regret this so much.
