Unsure what the kids have given me, but I am floored - doctors suspect strep/scarlet fever but nothing 100% confirmed. Not helped by the fact I’m 25 weeks pregnant. I keep waking up to expect to feel better… day 4 today and nope! Anyone else been knocked sideways by this??

Making reasonable adjustments in the classroom is not lowering expectations. If anything it’s raising them. It says ‘I want you here. I want you to learn and be safe and be happy and be included in my classroom and it’s my job to do that’. To dismiss the idea is virtually cruel.

Not fully funded.

Less than fire service, doctors, railway workers and the offer to teachers in Wales and Scotland.

That’s how little they value education.

As the holidays approach, I’ve seen a lot of posts asking what people should get for their child’s teacher and of course I can only speak for myself, but genuine handwritten notes/cards and kind emails have always been my favorite gift from students and their families.

I taught ‘that class’ twice. I taught them in year 4 and again for year 6. It’s easier the second time round, but the stronger children (flying tables and chairs) and a more advanced vocabulary (🤬🤬🤬) make teaching a SATs year group a challenge 😅😅Destroyed x2 🤣.

There is no such thing as an expert in education… people may have experience but they aren’t experts.

Absolutely everyone gets destroyed by ‘that class’ the first time round whether they have been teaching 2 minutes or 20 years.

Sometimes, when it’s all getting a bit much grab a book from child and look at their first piece of work in September and then look at the last piece of work they’ve done.

See the difference you’ve made.
