@educationgovuk@bphillipsonMP I genuinely thought this was a parody account for a second.
Of all the women in the UK who could help children with education... Doctors, scientists, athletes, engineers.
You choose Gemma Collins.
Have you completely lost your minds or what @educationgovuk?
Really? I think we all know this is an insult to our teachers and staff on the front line of the education system. Not the role model we want students to aspire to! They can aim higher than no GCSEs. Not sending the best message😞
Biology revision resource maybe useful for some people. Ideal printed as A3 for core knowledge and exam practice.

@Headteacherchat Being collectively told off for something 1 person did but that 1 person isn't even remotely bothered. If it was me, call me out & I'll do better next time. I'm assuming guilt anyway since I can't remember what happened today never mind 3 weeks ago. 😜
One reason why this strategy as a default is so wrong is that it completely reverses who is entitled to priority support. If one person is disrupting the safety and dignity of the community then the ones who most immediately need protecting and consideration are those at risk.
What the disruptive individual needs in that moment in order to flourish as a human being has to take second place to the needs of the majority to safe, calm learning environment. All are entitled to compassion, but there are no perfect solutions in life - only trade-offs.
Poor behaviour in schools is a wellbeing issue….
The wellbeing of:
- Staff & their being able to do their core job
- Other pupils & their learning
- SLT/pastoral staff
- Parental happiness
are all impacted on negatively by poor behaviour. It’s a huge wellbeing issue.
Are shared resources always a good thing? Or does it depend on-skill and mean those newer to the profession become reliant on them? And lack being adaptive in the classroom.
Would love to read / hear people’s thoughts #ECTs#traineeteachers#teachingandlearnjng#edutwitter

I'm sure these are all lovely people writing the new science curriculum, but...well...what's missing?
As I've said before, if you aren't going to be delivering the curriculum to bottom set year 11, you shouldn't be the one responsible for writing it. No skin in the game.
@hkateaching These look great. I have been trialling booklets in my own teaching (science) and can really see the benefits. We plan to roll them out across the whole department after February half term. Do you have a tips/advice? Thank you x
@OfficialPVFC@UniofStaffs The PVFC Armed Forces Community Group will also be in the fan zone tomorrow, highlighting the group and how to get involved 🫡
