Paying it forward to Women and Girls! Director Ouagadougou Partnership @POuagaPF | Passionate about Global Health, Development and Reproductive Health & Justice
âThe way ahead is not really about the volume of global support. ... Itâs going to be about African leadership.â
In a session hosted in partnership with @PopInstitute, @afrobarometer's @joeasunka and @POuagaPFâs Marie Ba discussed the future of SRHR.

@StagBeChillin Like that Babyfqce vs Teddy Riley #verzuz. They took that very seriously. Babyfqce the legend a clear winner and R&B won that nightâŠ
On the margins of the The @WorldBankGroup#SpringMeetings in #WashingtonDC this week, I participated in a series of dynamic conversations that go to the heart of how we drive impact for reproductive health and rights across West Africa.
First, a private roundtable with @afrobarometer and the @POuagaPF, hosted by the The @StimsonCenterâs Environmental Security Program in partnership with the @PopInstitute where we unpacked the Afrobarometerâs findings on public attitudes towards #SRHR in our OP countries and explored what this means for development partners and policy engagement in the region.
Then, at @devex Impact House: The Capital Summit, I joined @joeasunka and @catherinecheney to discuss how African-led evidence is reshaping power in global development. Set against one of the most dynamic convening spaces during the Spring Meetings, the Devex Impact House brings together a remarkable concentration of high-level panelists, decision-makers, and global development leaders. Itâs exactly the kind of room where ideas are tested, narratives are challenged, and new coalitions take shape. During our panel, we discussed how data produced on the continent is influencing policy, reframing narratives, and helping bring both women and men more meaningfully into SRHR and family planning conversations.
Finally, a convening at the @gatesfoundation with partners across the family planning ecosystem and the Foundationâs FP Advisory Board members.
Thanking @PopInstitute, particularly Aaron Sampson and Ambassador Philip Carter III for strengthening OPâs presence in these kinds of rooms where ideas are tested, narratives are challenged, and new coalitions take shape.
Hereâs to ensuring that the voices and perspectives from West Africa continue to shape the global agenda!

Data is power â and in global development, that power is shifting.
Join The Shifting Global Power Map session at Devex Impact House: The Capital Summit with Marie Ba and Joseph Asunka to learn how African-led data is shaping SRHR and health systems.

I was pleased to attend the exchanges in #Geneva at the @WHO this week for the 39th Meeting of the Policy & Coordination Committee (PCC). Strengthening the link between research and country-level action remains essential to advancing womenâs health and rights, especially during these challenging times.
The Partenariat de Ouagadougou was invited as an observer as these discussions brought together key partners including @UNDP, @UNFPA , @UNICEF, the @WHO and the @WorldBankGroup to reflect on priorities in research, innovation, and capacity strengthening in human reproduction.
Grateful for the opportunity to engage, learn, and continue building partnerships that can drive meaningful impact
