@RCLranger@MIHomeYGK I think it's too late for dandelions, they went to seed weeks ago. Was birdwatching at Belle Park yesterday and it was showering down from the poplars around us
What troubles me most about the Conservative Party's renewed & increasingly aggressive efforts to question the journalistic independence & integrity of the CBC is this:
It fuels an already dangerous mistrust in journalism in our society; it also leads to disproportionate scrutiny on our public broadcaster while essentially giving a 'free pass' to dozens of other media outlets in this country - many of whom have benefited handsomely from federal government funding/support since 2019 (and during the pandemic). Media outlets that include Maclean's Magazine & Postmedia.
The attacks on the CBC also seem to suggest that media outlets not funded by the federal government are somehow 'squeaky clean'. Yet, it's well known that private media have often pulled news stories to avoid upsetting advertisers.
This entire debate is nuanced and not black and white, as the CPC would have you think. #cdnpoli #cdnmedia
@CBCOntarioToday@LukeDufour2@AMOPolicy@CBCLondon Princess St in Kingston near the University district is being razed to create student housing but the lots owned by developers stay vacant for years. The fire at this vacant building took so much water to contain it flooded a church 50 ft away.
@_llebrun 🙄And we’re back to the dog-whistle Conservatives as we head toward the next election, just like Pollievre with the convoy white supremicists.
