I am honored to have attended the Butler University Outstanding Student Banquet last night as one of the Top 100 students! Butler is truly a special place and I am thankful to have been a part of its community for the past 4 years! Thank you @butleru and @ButlerCOE
Our Kindness Project earlier this year led to the creation of a beautiful mural for our classroom!
This time away from the classroom was the perfect time to turn our mural into a sticker!
4th graders, stickers will be in your mailboxes any day now ☺️
Spread kindness, always!
No document camera? No problem! Had to get creative to model summary writing for a reading mini-lesson tomorrow!
(If you have document camera iPad stand recommendations please let me know 😂)
What a special daily reminder.
To us, kindness means going out of your way to make everyone feel welcome and valued no matter what.
I’m proud of my 4th grade leaders for being so passionate about advocating for the right that people have to be treated kindly!
In honor of it being World Kindness Day, I thought I’d share what’s been going on in Room 120 lately!
During mass, we heard the story of 9-year-old, Ryan, who saved up his allowance money to pay off the lunch money debt of the students in his grade. Our class was inspired...
“Nothing without joy” -Loris Malaguzzi
During the month of October, we’ve been exploring the things that bring us joy!
4th graders were researching topics including M&Ms, Greek Mythology, Chinese Water Dragons, and more!
We’re sharing our Passion Projects on @Seesaw!
“What do you love about your grandparents?” “They love me”
What a love-filled morning with all of the special guests that could join us this morning (including my own grandma) ☺️
We are so thankful today and every day to have such supportive people in our lives!
Mornings were feeling hectic and stressful with the pressure of finishing morning work. Why should that be how students start their day?
To bring JOY back into our mornings, we’ve begun Passion Projects! Stay tuned for how these 4th graders explore what makes them feel excited!
As learners we reflect on our choices.
Which classroom expectations would you like to embody stronger tomorrow?
~be safe, be respectful, cooperate, be kind, be responsible~
This may look like an ordinary mason jar- but today, it’s filled with things that each of my students wished I knew about them.
Well, 4th graders, I’m excited to share that I notice and appreciate the hard work that you put in each day.
Thank you for being YOU!
