Today pupils have been thinking about what cultural capital means... skills, knowledge, traditions, art, music, values and community. It was fantastic to see them discussing this with such enthusiasm. #CulturalCapital
Does it really matter what we call it? Is it not just the case that a combination of the more experiences we expose our pupils to and the stronger our curriculum is, the more doors we help them to open? #CulturalCapital#CulturalLiteracy https://t.co/AHKvKHPjrM
Really like this article from @CultureLearning on #CulturalCapital and what is meant by ‘the best of what has been thought and said’, particularly that culture comes in a wide range of forms, both ‘historically legitimate’ and ‘emerging forms’ https://t.co/8KfS99YgjC
Did ultimate total recall today in the first lessons for y10 and y11. I was delighted with how much they remembered from last year, particularly significant chunks of language. Just shows the @gianfrancocont9 techniques are really having a positive effect! #mfltwitterati
Delighted with results today and cautiously thrilled to see a mini revival in the number of MFL entrants. Sad this was our last year of German. #MFLchat#GCSEResults2019 https://t.co/brdu0v5JkY
So proud pupils started their @ssat Cultural&Leadership Passports. A pupil said “Cultural capital is important as if you want to strive far in life, you must be able to prove your skills, attitude and your knowledge involving society.” Couldn’t have put it better #CulturalCapital
