We still haven’t had a real hearing on the rise of white supremacist violence, the lives lost, or the extremist groups empowered by dangerous Republican rhetoric.
But somehow, Republicans found time to hold a hearing claiming the Southern Poverty Law Center is “manufacturing hate.”
Meanwhile, they’re defending an almost $2 billion taxpayer-funded slush fund that could put money in the pockets of January 6 extremists — including people tied to white supremacist groups that attacked our democracy.
Y’all can miss me with the performative outrage.
PabloReports: What do you make of this $1.776 billion fund—
Gavin Newsom: It’s a criminal enterprise. It’s not just corruption, it’s not just graft, it’s a full-on criminal enterprise and it needs to be shut down.
Every since this poll came
out a week ago… it has been clear that the systems are not pleased… the reality is this, “power concedes nothing without a demand.”
The people are demanding leadership backed up by actions, not just words. We are in a crisis in this country and people are hurting. While people don’t know if their loved ones will come home because they’ve been disappeared by ICE or if there will be accountability for the despicable things in the Epstein files or if they will be choosing between rent, healthcare, or food… some would suggest let’s just do politics as usual… THAT is the exact thinking that got us here.
Tomorrow is the first day of early voting, It’s time for the people to be heard, loudly & clearly!
“We didn’t have lace wigs, we didn’t have the lashes, we didn’t have BBLs, we didn’t have none of that, so you had to work with what you had.. that’s what made everybody unique”

I am grateful for the endorsement and support of my Congressional colleagues. We’ve stood together in the toughest fights on the House Floor and we will always keep the people first as the conscience of the caucus. This endorsement affirms that I will continue to be a champion for the Black community and all 30 million people who call the Lone Star State home. I will tackle the affordability and housing crisis on day one, expand access to healthcare, and rein in ICE.
Texas is the state of Barbara Jordan, Eddie Bernice Johnson, and Sheila Jackson Lee and I will continue their legacy of unbought and unbossed leadership. Thank you for seeing that Texas is ready and worth the investment.
Yesterday was heavy. The world is heavy. I felt the heartbreak of it all and the obligation to stand in that moment as a vessel of hope. The only thing more powerful than hate is love 💕
Rob Reiner spent decades defending democracy and fighting for equality - even when it wasn’t easy or popular. At a moment when silence is safer, his willingness to speak out is a reminder that protecting democracy requires courage.
RETWEET to honor Reiner's legacy of justice ♥️
In Virginia, New Jersey, New York City, California, and communities across the country, voters chose hope, fairness, and a future where everyone has a fair shot. Our democracy works when we make it work, and last night, the American people proved once again that they're up to the task.
Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.
