Last week we started our leadership sessions in P6/7. It was great to hear our first pupil talk about what they enjoy as well as see how well they understand their learning! Some budding teachers in this class 📚⭐️ @DanestoneP
📚⭐️P6/7 have been working hard this morning to update their class blogs! Take a look at our learning for the term here: https://t.co/36LVbuMboU @DanestoneP
This week we have been discussing Black History Month. We studied Jean-Michel Basquiat and talked about the themes and style of his art. We liked how it was supposed to be messy and it was abstract. @DanestoneP#tweetbyp67
There is a new learning log update! We are really enjoying being able to share our learning through drawings and thinking about what we learned this week and the skills we have practised. As always, there are more details about our learning on Seesaw! @DanestoneP
Today P6/7 made use of the sunshine and fresh air to take ERIC outside. We also got to see our garden and how much it had grown! Next we would like to add fruit and vegetables and plant some more bulbs for flowers. We also want to add a fence around it. @DanestoneP
Our first Learning Log page is complete! We took some reflection time to talk about the things we learned last week, then the pupils chose a way to represent this on the page. We talked about how the activity wasn’t important - it was the skills we were learning. @DanestoneP

P6/7 got to try out loose parts play this week. We made an outdoor learning charter to keep us safe, then we got to create anything we wanted. We made pirate ships, tents, beds, boats, swimming pools, obstacle courses and we even had a visitor! Super creative @DanestoneP
Absolute chaos in the P4-7 area today. We tried Lego’s The Most Boring Room Ever challenge to see what we can create using only paper and our imagination. It’s incredible to see what the children can do! ⭐️😊 @mrschristie_21@missjcook1@MrFarquhar2@DanestoneP
One of our pupils decided to give himself some homework this week by creating a model of the Titanic as part of his personal project! The whole class thought this was fantastic - and a big thank you to Mum who he says was a big big help. 😊⭐️ @DanestoneP
Starting off our Friday morning with Hour of Code. We are loving coding our own games and problem solving when there’s problems with the code 💻✖️➗➖➕@DanestoneP
So proud of our Primary 5’s performance at the @SCEN_official 9th Youth Summit today. They performed a traditional Chinese ribbon dance to “Happy Life” 🎀 🇨🇳 #ChineseCelebration@DanestoneP
P5 went on a visit to a local care home to sing them some songs for Dementia Awareness Week. We chose some songs we already knew and also sang some new songs! It was really nice to talk to the residents. ☀️🎵 @DanestoneP
P5 had a fantastic time learning all about business during their talk from @aberdeenuni and @Pamjamcumming. We learned about the university and then thought about how to repurpose a phone box considering the target market and location - and how we would advertise! @DanestoneP
P5 and P5/6 had a wonderful time @ghmuseum. They loved exploring the replica trench and finding out lots of new information for our brilliant tour guide. @DanestoneP@MissDocherty5
P5 and P5/6 had a fantastic visit to @ghmuseum this morning! It was so interesting to see the history of the Gordon Highlanders. Our favourite part was seeing the replica trench. Thank you so much for having us! @DanestoneP@missjcook1
The sun is out ☀️ and Primary 5 are super excited to get some gardening done this morning. We have been putting some soil down and trying to pick out some of the rocks - there’s a lot of them! @DanestoneP
P5 have already had some fantastic World of Work Month visitors! We have been so excited to learn about chemical engineering, nursing, program managing and engineering. We’re really looking forward to our next visitors! @DanestoneP 📚😊
