We’re looking for great people to join our team and help ensure that all children can enjoy lives of choice and opportunity.
You’ll get the chance to work with brilliant people in a region to improve the coherence of support families and kids receive.

Think the audience for a blog post comparing simple harmonic motion to the rhythm of the school year and work-life balance is probably quite limited. Nevertheless I’m enjoying getting back to writing this summer! https://t.co/zlraXCn0wA
@thosethatcan Yes, there’s a sense of achievement in facing something tough alongside others in a team. The effort still requires recovery time though. We had the most horrendous year with two full Ofsted inspections. Actually found other ‘quieter’ times harder as I felt more alone.
@Strickomaster Yes, I’ve just moved to lead Post 16 at my school. It’s a big shift to always work 3-4 days around each results day but the present system means students really need some support then. Same week would be better.
I’m working on a programme for our Y10 & 11 called the 1% Club
Based off Atomic Habits (& The Bear) it’s all about continuous improvement & empowering them to be independent, motivated & self regulated learners.
This ties in with our work on metacognition & learning behaviours
Are you an English teacher from West Yorkshire?
Do you love good CPD?
We have an exciting @LitdriveUK event on GCSE poetry coming to you on 27th June @TheGSAL and are looking for speakers. Please get in touch with myself and @GKillip and fill this form: https://t.co/Ugil57xHQG
Matt has such a great sense of what is needed when. Third thread this week about exactly what I’ve already been thinking about. His books are great too.
@Positivteacha I think they are both slightly negative terms but I guess the point is to start debate! I always asked a lot of questions and suggested a lot of things and I think that supported applying to a leadership role but I do think supporting changes and initiatives is important.
