@British_Airways I private messaged about this and was told nothing could be done. It is criminal to pay £57 per person each way if you don't want to risk your family not sitting together on a £1000 per person long haul flight!

Bit frustrated to pay £1000 per person for 5 of us to fly with @British_Airways to LA and back from Denver. And STILL have to pay £57 per person for each way to reserve a seat as a young family!!! So £570 extra just for our seats!!!
