In 2024, 33 of my students are travelling to Costa Rica with @CampsInt. I am completing a swim challenge (5289 lengths) to help with their fundraising. Iβve completed 2389 lengths and have 2900 left). Any donations are hugely appreciated! https://t.co/sEu8sCIYcA

@MrThompsonPE1 @C_PettiforPE @grogers1982@jmwilliamspe@SlaterR92 Yeah, we would need to look at our curriculum properly. I think at the moment we are nearly there with our planning to make sure itβs purposeful for our school. Thanks so much for all the info!
Our department were wondering what/how schools structure their practical lessons for purpose in OCR GCSE PE? Currently redesigning our βidealβ curriculum and interested to see how other schools are doing it. @C_PettiforPE @grogers1982@MrThompsonPE1@jmwilliamspe@SlaterR92
@misspoulteneype@jboucher07@MissCalvertPE@MrHurseyPE@MissHyland_PE@LiamDEERY4 Yeah I know what you mean. Initally we want students to have an idea so they can focus on attending clubs etc. In the past though, we had students adamant they are doing netball... we show them their hockey and netball score together, they soon realise hockey is better for them!
@misspoulteneype@jboucher07@MissCalvertPE@MrHurseyPE@MissHyland_PE@LiamDEERY4 Ok that is great. Itβs good that they werenβt part of a club, we have some gymnasts. Our last 3 cohorts have been girl heavy classes. Typically our GCSE students come to their main sport EC clubs and play outside of school. Itβs the third sport options they struggle with. Thanks!
