This week we have been learning about how we can be super helpers at home, school and in the community. To make helping more fun we made super helper capes and the kids had a blast helping me and other classmates in the class all afternoon in their new cool capes! #Learningisfun

This week we are learning about homes and who lives in them. Yesterday we created our own homes and talked about a new vocabulary word “setting”. They were so into adding detail to their homes and setting! Some chose colors that were similar to their own home #learningisfun

Learning about sound and our 5 senses this week has been lots of fun! We made popsicle harmonicas and chickens in a cup and the kids went crazy over them! More activities today and tomorrow, ending the week with a bang #soundisawesome #kindergartenteacher #learningisfun

New upcoming writing unit in 1st grade is Realistic Fiction. This unit will teach students that writers often imagine a character who is just like them. It will also promote strong creative writing skills. #readingandwritingisawesome #newunit #learningisfun
