I was taken into the Acute Assessment Unit of my local hospital (Derriford) over Christmas and probably said most of these things to the staff there. I cannot praise them enough for their compassion and support.

I’m sorry to bother you but
I know you’re busy but
I know this is silly but
I’ve been very embarrassed but
I know you’ve more sick people to see but

Never apologise. Never feel bad to seek medical help. It’s your right. It’s my job.
