I had a great time at the @NJEA convention this past weekend with @MissMrotzek and @LampertiBridget! We had a blast! A special thanks to Jessica Ging and Dianne Sottile for teaching me so many awesome strategies in their workshop, “Keys to Teaching Complex Kids”.

Relationships drive everything. Relationships build purpose and connection - same for adults as it is for students. Don��t kid yourself that you can work around relationships. We have to work through relationships.

Week 2 of Tiny Tots ✅ and what an action packed week it was! We went to the park, played in the sprinkler and water table, drew self portraits (which were amazing) and much more!

The first week of Tiny Tots was amazing! I was so nervous to take on the position of Director for this camp but it has already been so fun and rewarding! Highlights of the week: firework paintings, obstacle course and minimal tears when moms and dads left! ☀️#preK #SummerCamp

Rainy days won’t keep us from from trying to #FixTheUnfairness. Today I rallied with mom, many other teachers and the @NJEA to fight Chapter 78 as well as other unfair cuts to public education. I may not be a teacher yet, but that won’t stop me from speaking up for what is right!

While subbing today I had the pleasure of walking around the West New York Public Schools art show! The show features artwork done by students throughout the whole district! It’s really wonderful to see students hard work being recognized and shown to the public! #artsineducation

Field day at @HopewellES was awesome! It was so wonderful to come back and visit everyone on this fun and sunny day! Thank you @WendyHeiser for letting @MissMrotzek and I spend the day with you and the students!

I can’t believe it’s already time to say goodbye to @HopewellES, @WendyHeiser and her amazing class. Thank you so much to everyone at HES who has made this my best practicum experience yet! I will miss you all so much but I know this isn’t a goodbye, just a see you later 💕

A guess speaker AND diy piggy banks??? Yesterday sure was a busy day in 1H! Thank you to Mr. Mrotzek for coming in and helping me and @MissMrotzek to talk about saving and spending with our first graders! We can’t believe our economics unit is over!

Today the students in Mrs. Heiser’s class embarked on an adventure in their very own classroom; they followed the journey of a dollar as it was earned, spent and saved! This was the second lesson of the economics I have created with my wonderful friend and partner @MissMrotzek!
