Today marks the end of my 3 day Intensive Teaching Bootcamp with PaTTAN! I can’t wait to return to my classroom with new ideas and more training under my belt. #PaTTAN
To be a great teacher, you don't need the latest technology, the cutest classroom, or the newest outfit. What you do need is a passion for learning, and the heart to love every student who enters your classroom. @WeAreTeachers
Thanks to @ProfessorGiunta , my previous student teaching supervisor, for inviting us back to #WestChesterUniversity ! I couldn’t have done it without you!
What an amazing opportunity it was to be able to speak with current student teachers about job hunting/classroom experience as a first year teacher! We shared our successes, our struggles, and some tips for upcoming interviews. #WestChesterUniversity#FirstYearTeacher
Kicking off March with a focus on nutrition! We learned about what it means when something is healthy vs unhealthy for you and played an interactive freebie I found on #teacherspayteachers ! We reinforced the learning by using our wall space as an activity board. Success!
Analysis is all abt. teaching kids to find mind-blowing and mic-dropping moments in text. This is the heart of analysis. Don’t forget to give kids credit for what they find, chk out these 3rd gr. #TDYAY gestures! @PADeptofEd@ILAToday@teacher2teacher
Today we read “It Looked Like Spilt Milk” by Charles G. Shaw and created some of our own “split milk” paintings! What do they look like to you? #autismeducation#literacy
I’ve accepted the challenge from @missmaddie18 and @Miss_Natale19 to post covers of 7 children’s books I LOVE: no explanations, no review - just a cover. Each time I post a cover, I’ll ask someone else to take up the challenge. My day 1 nomination goes to @TaylorMackowsky !
My kids are limited verbal and usually require the assistance of a communication device. Today, one of my kids realized he didn’t know how to ask for his new toy- his lego Batman- so he decided to make his own icon and ask that way! :) My kids amaze me every day!
Went on a #communityouting to the bowling alley today! I’m so proud of each and every one of our students for being on their best behavior. When expectations are high, so is the reward! #iteachautismsupport
In honor of #BlackHistoryMonth , we decorated our square of the school quilt with some of the most influential people that paved the way for their children to come. Such an important conversation to have with students of all ages and abilities!
How CUTE are these snowmen?? Today we read a story about snow and snowmen (so fitting for our weather lately) and then played a roll the dice game to complete our very own snowman… https://t.co/ozaaTsmODP
