Today I had a fab day at school, making straw rollercoasters with the children of key workers 😊 lots of problem solving and plenty of enthusiasm to get them working!

Just a cardboard box, straws and tape 👍 (& a ball, but could make one!)

@imagineinquiry “Alien words” for the KS1 phonics test. Let’s just confuse them further by asking them to read made up words 🤯

I find it really ironic that NASUWT sent me an email about overworked teachers, on “Work Your Proper Hours Day”, at 6.13pm on a Friday night!! 🤯🤦🏼‍♀️

@TeachingYear6 SayHi, it’s incredible! I have 80% EAL and use it all the time!! Works both ways too (English-other, other-English) and reads it aloud and has it written in text.
All the text you translate saves so you can replay multiple times if needed! 🙌

[Jon Biddle @jonnybid]

There are some books that all children should get to experience during their time at primary school. The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo is one of them.

[Miss Massett 📚🖍 @MissMassett]

@jonnybid We are about to read the final chapter this week, got some amazing pieces of writing based on it too 👍 the ending is just perfect 🥰

@DHLParcelUK I have tried messaging you about a problem with the delivery of my parcel. Please can someone respond as it’s now 3 days with failed delivery and it’s getting very frustrating.

[Miss Massett 📚🖍 @MissMassett]

@sarajcox Cleared and organised the plastic bag drawer 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

[Miss Massett 📚🖍 @MissMassett]

@sarajcox On my wedding day, part way through the ceremony the officiant called me the wrong name!! Cue strange looks from my husband and “who’s Amanda?” 😂😂
Later on, during the speeches, we toasted to Amanda 🤣🤦🏼‍️

5 more get ups.
Once the Christmas performance is over on Tuesday I’ll be able to relax a little 😅
We can do this 💪

[Miss Massett 📚🖍 @MissMassett]

@TheRunningEduc1 @Headteacherchat Nope, not yet 😒 hopefully January 🤞

[Miss Massett 📚🖍 @MissMassett]

@Thinkingschool2 @mspmassett “if it’s not good enough for my kids, it’s not good enough for yours!” 📚

[Miss Massett 📚🖍 @MissMassett]

@Truthfairy74 @KKNTeachLearn Same!! Everything always takes longer at the beginning of the year, but it feels like the most basic of things just aren’t being done.

[Miss Massett 📚🖍 @MissMassett]

@MrsBezoari We use SayHi. It’s brilliant! Can either type or speak into it and will speak back and type in the other language. Then the child can speak in their own language and will change back to English 👍

[Miss Massett 📚🖍 @MissMassett]

@ScottPughsley Us too!! We had the call on Tuesday. It’s been a long week but everyone pulled together amazingly ☺️

[Miss Massett 📚🖍 @MissMassett]

@CassHT We had ‘the call’ this week, so definitely been surviving 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ but definitely feeling relief now it’s over 😅 back to thriving next week!

[Miss Massett 📚🖍 @MissMassett]

@Miss_Gprimary_ My work laptop broke today, won’t switch on 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m taking that as a sign that I don’t need to do them this weekend 😂

[Miss Massett 📚🖍 @MissMassett]

@MrsBuller101 Hi 👋 welcome to Y4!

[Miss Massett 📚🖍 @MissMassett]

@sequinelephant @RetirementTales Me too!! The evil character gave me nightmares, I used to pretend to need the toilet so I didn’t have to watch it all 😂😂

Primaries intending on using older iPad stock for the Multiplications Tables Check a week from now - iOS13 required as of Monday just gone. You’ve got a week… during which you’re PROBABLY closed around ‘ere …to find an alternative. 🙄

[Miss Massett 📚🖍 @MissMassett]

@Mr_AlmondED @GOVUK We found this during the practise this week. None of the iPads in my class worked…thankfully we have others to choose from, but not every school may be so lucky!
