FREE FILM to watch over the summer: Two Year Olds Outdoors: Play, Learning & development
Through observing what children are interested in at this stage of their lives this film gives real insight into why spending time outdoors is essential for their holistic development #EY
Thank you to our Maths Hub Leadership and Co-ordinators for planning a great LLME Day yesterday.
Thank you to our LLME Community for attending in numbers, with brilliant contributions.
Thank you to @KingsHouseConf for hosting the event, and providing delicious lunch!
How effectively do you CO-REG?
A useful acronym when we're thinking about how we help children and young adults (in fact, anyone!) to help regulate their thoughts, feelings and behaviour, in order to reach a state of psychological safety and calm.
Use every opportunity to help children understand number. Numbering bikes/spaces and a number line with photos of the children holding the numbers - just some ideas discussed today at our Building Firm Foundations session. Thank you @MissMonfared@earlyyears_SK1@NCETM#EYFS
A great resource for colleagues and families to support learning Maths at home. Maths is more than numbers and Maths is EVERYWHERE! #earlyyears#remotelearning @Siren_films @DrSue22.

@evefrancisholt So sad to hear this news @evefrancisholt and @JennyMcgarry. I taught one of Nahla’s daughters during my time St Mary’s and remember some heartfelt conversations with both Nahla and Mustafa. Nahla always strove for greatness. Thinking of the girls and the family at this time 💛

Not new but still captivating. MRI scan of (neuroscientist) mum caressing & kissing her baby inside the tube of a scanner (WOW). Look at the brains. What do you notice?
I find this image deeply moving, mesmerising.
We are fragile, built in love. What words come to mind for you?
