#Year5#ECT I have taught year 5 for the past 4 years since completing my NQT year. Here are some things I learnt along the way.
1. While some may be taller than you, they are still 9 and 10 year olds and need to be treated as such.
Itβs March, a new month, which means itβs time for me to give away a class set of novels via my book shop @ANewChapterBks.
For a chance to win, simply retweet this lil tweet.
Every month this year, I intend to give away a full class set of one book via @ANewChapterBks - I truly believe a full class set is one of the most valuable resources a teacher can have when teaching reading.
No faff to enter, just retweet and consider yourself in.
January.
Welcome back, Richmond! We hope you had a warm and restful Christmas. We are back with an exciting announcement... we have 8 exclusive signed copies of Bunny vs Monkey: Bunny Bonanza (paperback release) for the quickest fans! What better way to enter the New Year?
Hi @clpe1, please could you remove this appalling 'book' from your primary World War 2 booklist. This from the experts will hopefully explain why. I'd be grateful if you could reply when you have done it.

To celebrate the bank holiday Iβm giving away a copy of my book β100 Ideas for Primary Teachers: Artβ

@ReBuckEdu@_MissieBee@Mr_AlmondED@MissSDoherty We're in the window hence the inverted commas! Ideally evidence based. I know maths is strong in our school but want to find best practice. Into the nitty gritty of pedagogy not just 2 inputs or teach oldest year group.
Weβve really enjoyed planning lessons for The Final Year. We think as many children as possible should be able to get their hands on it. So, weβre giving away a class set!
Simply like this post, repost it and follow Literacy Shed on X. Weβll draw a winner at random on 13/2/24
@_MissieBee@bennewmark If its any consolation my 22month old has started to sleep 7-6am for a couple of nights then has some wakes up. We co slept for ages but he's starting to feel safe on his own, knowing we're here if he needs. Still boobing too!
@_MissieBee I find the issue comes from children reading multi clause sentences in books but don't have the grammatical knowledge to write the same. Such as not using semi colons, relative clauses etc until UKS2.
