@emilio90211@conlin_lauren It's a confusing sentence, I assume she means: as of today it's been 9-10 hours of deliberation since they've had an issue/note to the court.
Beyond the sadness of this week, my feed has been filled with clips from Clue, 9 to 5, Winnie the Pooh, Muppet Treasure Island, Magic School Bus, Rocky Horror, random Dolly cameos, The Worst Witch, Best Little Whorehouse, & Wild Thornberrys, so that’s been pretty wonderful.
It’s cool to like Dolly Parton.
And I am so glad that so many of us did.
But it’s cooler to act like Dolly Parton.
I hope more of us will.
We can all do better.
Something that really messes me up about being a kid in the early 2000s was being a part of a generation that started putting up posters of kids of all colors holding hands around the globe, celebrating earth day in school by planting a tree or doing something mindful for the planet, and learning about caring for everyone and the earth. Genuinely that is how the future was shown to me and that's what I expected for us. None of it happened.
IMO I think a great way to process this grief is to look up every state representative that is looking to defund Dolly’s Imagination Library program and start calling up their phones!
my grief over dolly and tim curry is absolutely parasocial but you can't understate the impact that both of those people had for queer people, for women, for people who have always had "weird" interests and big personalities, they were icons for anyone strange
The word 'clue' was originally a variant spelling of 'clew,' meaning “ball of thread or yarn.”
Our modern sense of clue, “guide to the solution of a mystery,” grows out of a motif in myth and folklore, the ball of thread that helps in finding one’s way out of a maze.

Fun fact: this is because most of us were heavily influenced by kid’s shows that had stricter educational rules. They taught us that learning/educating were fun and good for you. Real fun fact, learning every day actually increases brain elasticity and general cognitive fitness.
@ddeli2024@NancyGrace@foxone If you watch the whole clip she addresses that this is only part of the call and she’s adhering to the order by not releasing the specific part of the call the judge blocked.
