Just a quick update on virtual learning! Using the LLI system, I've created a PowerPoint that allows my students to sort words for phonics lessons, while being able to type responses to comprehension questions. Will be sharing PP for anyone at my school too! #hctep

Indirect & direct questioning changes how a student interprets our message. If we are direct, students may interpret our message as aggressive or accusing. By using "I" language, we take the assumption off of our students & give them a chance to help us interpret behaviors #hctep

With the cohort A/B schedule I'm currently working with, my wednesday schedule had a strange time gap. To give students more support, myself and my co-teacher created Microsoft TEAMS office hours. Any parent or student can reach out in this time and receive extra support #HCTEP

- Close Read passages, read multiple times to support scaffolded learning
- IEP trainings and whole group discussions about how, school-wide, we want our IEPs to look.

This semester I've reached a point of growth in terms of collaboration with peers through technology. Not only through the use of FORMS, but also through my assisting my mentor in creating a list of strategies to best track and assist students. These include:

- tracking standards based questions through weekly FORMS (picture attached)
- using FORMS to integrate technology into even a 30 minute lesson
- Orton Gillingham reading program combined with decodable texts from Reading A to Z

I know how many students answered correctly and I know which students answered them correctly or incorrectly. Furthermore, by categorizing questions based on NYS ELA standards, I know what standards I need to focus on in resource room.

I am beginning to use Forms from OneNote. The app lets me create both multiple choice & ext. response quizzes. also, it graphs the data afterward. it's a huge step in tech and collaboration for me

I honestly wasn't sure how well these plants would grow, but if they didn't we'd have a lesson on how to better care for our plant. Well...they grew. I am amazed but also so overjoyed at how excited these guys are to watch their plants grow.
