100th day was filled with fun! We exercised to see how many things we could do in 100 seconds, wrote about what we would do with 100 dollars, did a 100 drops of water experiment and counted 100 objects! Room 19 is 100 days smarter! #hpsdawesome

Today, our students became light detectives! They explored how light passes through different materials using magnifying glasses with tin foil, wax paper, and clear coverings. They learned the difference between opaque, transparent, and translucent objects. #hpsdawesome

To wrap up our sound unit, we created our own kazoos! This hands-on project allowed us to explore how sound and vibrations are made, while also giving us a chance to have some fun making music and seeing the science in action. 🎶 #hpsdawesome

Another sound experiment with water glasses! We learned a glass with more water will produce a lower pitch sound, while a glass with less water will produce a higher pitch, demonstrating how the amount of water affects the vibration frequency of the glass. #hpsdawesome

Today, we investigated sound by making our own harmonicas! When we spread the straws apart, the sound was lower. When we pushed them closer together, the sound got higher. We had fun changing the sound waves! #hpsdawesome
