As everybody knows, teachers spend so much on their classrooms and this year is no different for me. I will be moving schools and grade levels, so if you feel inclined to help I would greatly appreciate it.

My daughters 2nd grade teacher quit four weeks into the school year. My sons 4th grade teacher quit the day before thanksgiving. In my home we lost both kids teachers. If u show up every day w some type of positive energy u are doing enough this year. Remember that. #thatonekid
A5: first, giving students a safe space to be themselves. After that, allowing them to come to us when they have an issue of any kind. Why should our LGBTQ+ Ss feel like they cannot feel safe in our rooms if our Ss that are not LGBTQ+?
A4: I try to do a lot of reading and staying up to date with the current issues and accomplishments that the LGBTQ+ community is encountering while also allowing my student to feel like they have a safe space in my classroom. #ksedchat
A3: this is something I need to do better of. I always ask my students for their preferred names and allow them to change them at any time, but otherwise I need to do better. #ksedchat
A2: this is something that we can easily do as educators! We can start by being our authentic selves. Ss that see us being our true selves will feel safer to be their authentic selves #ksedchat
YES! Technology can help with native language translation and visual representation of content. Plus Ss are able to collaborate without a language barrier! #ksedchat
Visible Learning Day 2: Feedback for unsuccessful students must first deal with the negative feelings in order to break the cycle of failure. Suggestions for improvement may not be heard or perceived as constructive otherwise.
Visible Learning Day 2: "We need to let students into the secret, allowing them to become insiders of the assessment process." (Sadler, 1998) @AtchisonPublic@AESPhoenix
