Yesterday the girl behind asked to sit and work with her.

Today, a third girl joined.

@divergentTea @adulttamagotchi @1994mishymama @Sflecce PCs would rather send 1000s of kids & ed workers into schools instead of giving families $ for respite. $4B lost, ASD funding cut, families waitlisted, strong lobbyists etc.
Instead of giving families $ they need for support, PCs save $ by sending us back F2F as paid respite.

Spec Ed students & staff are returning to in-person learning with minimal safety measures. Our most vulnerable kids, & the people who work with them, are again being put at the greatest risk.

@WeeLittleBees I'm a teacher in a spec ed program. We have remained in person while my colleagues work safely from home. They support me & I support them, bc no one asked for this. I support early eds, as I know most of my colleagues do. Education is education & we should all support eachother.

Is it that parents will need childcare for their own mental health? Also, why is the focus on work & adults?! Why not protect the health of CHILDREN above all else?

@schwartz_ottawa, how many Trustees have actually caught Covid at a Board meeting? A small % I'd guess, so why are you still meeting Via Zoom? Are you saying it is acceptable for even a small % of staff to contract Covid @ work, but not Trustees?
