@LI_politico I can understand living in the halls as an experience, and don't begrudge anyone I was just surprised as I always think people from out of town should get priority.

@LI_politico Talking to someone else there after and we both thought it odd that their kid was living in a hall of residence in the same city they live in. Sure the experience is great but that seems like a waste of money to us.

@LI_politico I feel that. A few months ago I was at brunch and a woman was going on about how they went to Fiji over Xmas and might every year, and their kid is in a hall of residence and all I could think was I have not had a job all year but that's lovely for you.
