The signing of HF 2612 will forever change Iowa’s AEA system and how it delivers services to the children, families and educators of Iowa. We are grateful to the thousands of advocates who worked tirelessly to educate the public and legislators about what was at stake.
Earlier this month, we had special education teachers, interventionists, administrators and support staff from 20 different school districts engage in targeted learning around specially designed instruction (SDI) for behavior! 🙌 #EveryDayAtAEA#CRAEA#iaedchat#ialegis

Students with a dedicated mentor have better school attendance and are more likely to fill leadership roles. During National Mentoring Month we'd like to say Thank You to our mentors. The time you donate to youth in our community makes a difference!
I pet Murphy. He is a 7 month old Bernese Mountain Dog. He has FOMO. He never wants to miss out. He watches @KNonFox because he loves the drama. Sometimes he makes his own. He once swallowed a large rubber duck, scaring his caregiver. Luckily, it came out whole and he was fine.
Congratulations to @OrangeTigersWLO teacher Sara Brown on being named the first winner of the Courier Cares Grant! Ms. Brown's classroom won $1,000 of supplies and furniture to help her students focus and learn better throughout the day. Way to go Ms. Brown! @oebehaviorfocus
