Proud of our Year 12 Applied Scientists who carried out Gram Staining and then looked at the colony morphology of bacteria under a microscope. @mendipstudiosch
Half of referrals from GPs to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) are rejected, new research has found. The system is stretched too thin. No young person should be denied the support they need. https://t.co/SCaujfLe8I

Word fact of the day: 'oxymoron', a self-contradicting word or group of words, comes from the Greek 'oxys', meaning 'sharp', and 'mōros', meaning 'foolish'. Which makes oxymoron an oxymoron itself.
As a serious point, I do think behaviour management in science labs is harder. Students are more spread out, layout is often super weird and tons of tempting distractions like water taps, sockets and gas taps.
Year 11! I am such a proud tutor and I wish nothing but the best for each and every one of you. Live life to the full and chase your dreams! Stay in touch, we would love to hear from you #WeAreMendip @mendipstudiosch
What children need when the pandemic is over: children’s centres, playgroups, youth clubs, sports clubs, swimming, music & drama groups, days out, birthday parties, visits to museums, the theatre, cinemas, residentials, outdoor ed. What they don’t need: more maths and English.
@MaryLeo98433352 @CJR_WCSA @solar_4schools @mendipstudiosch a small STEM school! And very much into all things eco and planet saving. Will have to look into this I think!
We're on it. Lateral Flow Testing is a daily routine - interesting, fun and reassuring. Thank you to Dr. Pugh-Jones, Mrs Willcox, Miss Baber and Mrs Jones for their kind manner, expertise and commitment - you rock.
