Making music with others is one of the closest things we have to a superpower. It fills us with a unique energy. It heals us of pain. It fills us with confidence. It helps us create beauty. It connects us with others who can enhance these things further. Making music is special.

Yes, please. The stress is real this year. Even though it feels more like a "normal" year there really nothing "normal" about it. Also, our students don't seem to know what even "normal" means.
OK, I have had so many teachers message me that they are already burned out. So, I am going to give away (2) $50.00 gift cards (paypal) on Friday that can be used for massage, dinner, or whatever will help you refill your cup. Just retweet & let me know you're stressed out!
Hint for Extremist:
It’s helpful if you run for a public school board that you support public schools. 🤦🏼♀️
Kids deserve board members who support their schools.
It's our job as educators to lead them to the water and whilst doing so MAKE them thirsty! This has to be one of our primary goals. By doing so we eliminate these self motos of doubt and fear. We create humans that believe that they CAN. They are Worth it.
When we engage students in difficult lessons we often find that they begin listening to the chatter in their heads that tells them that they can't. It's my job to Show them, NOT Tell them, that they CAN. The old cliché about leading a horse to water should never apply here.
When you see the impact that music can have on the life of a young person, it becomes abundantly clear that it's not optional. It's how they communicate, it's how they connect, and it's how they deal with the many challenges of growing up. Music isn’t optional. It's essential.
Music ensembles open the door to friendship. They open the door to confidence. They open the door to empathy. They open the door to hard work. They open the door to lifelong memories filled with joy and happiness. Music ensembles wonderfully open doors that change lives forever.
.@WarrenChoir's 16th Street Soul is already hard at work on their vast repertoire of A Cappella music! They will be performing for the U.S. Attorney General's Law Enforcement Conference in Indianapolis on September 6th. #WarrenWill encourage excellence! 🎶
We love to see our students pursue multiple interests, like senior @WARRENCENTRALFB players Anesi Akpeokhai (@wchsorchestras) and Erieon Madry (@WarrenBands) making music in class before hitting the field tonight! #WarrenWill encourage students to shine! 🎶🏈
