To explain a little about the process that left Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft out of the HOF class of 2026…

1. In the past (pre-2025 class), the coach, contributor and 3 seniors were voted on individually after being picked as finalists by 3 different subcommittees.

A candidate just needed 80% to get in. They were not competing against each other for votes.

2. In 2025, the process changed. The finalists still came out of subcommittees, but were no longer voted on individually.

The 5 candidates were grouped together and the 50 members of the selection board each voted for 3. In effect, the candidates were set up to compete against each other for votes.

3. Any candidate who received 80% of the vote is in. If no candidate received 80%, the candidate who received the most votes is in. As many as three could mathematically receive 80%.

Last year, only senior Sterling Sharpe out of the group of five was selected for the HOF.

It's very possible Kraft and Belichick split votes which ultimately eliminated both of them.

Pete, the escalation yesterday came from an ICE agent two arm shoving a woman. Pretti went to help her up. A gang of ICE agents responded by pepper spraying him, grabbing him, pistol whipping him, and shooing him 9 times in the next 15 secs.

As a former law enforcement officer and someone who loves my home state immensely, I am deeply concerned by the ongoing situation in Minneapolis and the metro area overall. Above all, I urge everyone, including elected leaders and the citizens we represent, to do their part in lowering the temperature so we can avoid further escalation.

Yesterday's tragedy is something no one wants to see happening in Minnesota or anywhere else. As in all law enforcement incidents where lethal force was used, a full investigation will ensue. None of us should rush to judgment or fan the flames until all the facts are known and that investigation is concluded. The reality is that Minneapolis has become a tinder box. This is in large part because, rather than cooperate with legitimate law enforcement operations, Twin Cities politicians are urging people to interfere with them. This is placing our officers under immense pressure and creating a more volatile situation for everyone.

It is past time for deescalation and that will require real leadership, which has so far been missing. Minnesota leaders must stop encouraging these actions—so far, they've only incited and inflamed the situation. I am urging Governor Walz, Mayor Frey, and local officials to seek cooperation and calm moving forward. I also encourage residents that want to exercise their First Amendment rights to do so in a lawful manner, without interfering with law enforcement and unnecessarily putting themselves and the officers in a dangerous situation.

When law enforcement agencies cooperate at all levels, public safety increases. I am praying for all of our leaders—national, state and local—to rise above and find a peaceful path forward. Working together, we can rid our streets of the most violent and dangerous criminals who are in our country illegally and keep Minnesotans safe.

When I was in Minneapolis, I heard a number of crazy stories. But near the top of the list:

A couple of off duty ICE and CBP officers were going to dinner in Minneapolis. They were doxed and their location revealed, and the restaurant was then mobbed. The officers were locked in the restaurant, and local police refused to respond to their pleas for help (as they've been directed by local authorities). Eventually, their fellow federal agents came to their aid.

This is just a taste of what's happening in Minneapolis because state and local officials refuse to cooperate with immigration enforcement. They have created the chaos so they can have moments like yesterday, where someone tragically dies and politicians get to grandstand about the evils of enforcing the border.

The solution is staring everyone in the face. I hope authorities in Minneapolis stop this madness.

When I visited Minnesota, what the ICE agents wanted more than anything was to work with local law enforcement so that situations on the ground didn't get out of hand.
