If I was still in the classroom I would 100% challenge students to leverage AI to generate images & text. Much like cell phones: I guess you could try making rules but we all know students will bring them in anyway; we might as well teach students to use these tools responsibly.

@stoodle I’ve been taking polls in my class and running my YouTube analytics like crazy. Results:
-Over 10 minutes, students disengage
-under 4 minutes required assigning more videos
-more than 3 videos a week (even if short) led to disengage
-best results 3 videos/week at 7-10 min length

Longitudinal data also shows that students don’t typically watch many videos about the original Thirteen Colonies or the geography of China during the summer months... 🤷‍♂️

Longitudinal data shows that views on my old social studies videos from when I was still in the classroom typically peak twice each year - in the Fall and then the start of second semester. Except this year where there is a third (and higher) Quarantine Peak. #dataisbeautiful
